Reason Abajuo is Legal Counsel with the Power Sector team at the African Legal Support Facility. He has been at the ALSF since June 2019.
Before joining the ALSF, Reason worked with a leading commercial and industrial solar power company in New York where he provided support to the company’s legal team in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements for the development and acquisition of various commercial solar power projects. He has also worked as a Power and Infrastructure Associate at a top commercial law firm in Nigeria, where he advised sponsors, lenders, and contractors on IPP projects and other infrastructure projects.
Reason is admitted to practice law in Nigeria and in the State of New York. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Harvard Law School, where his academic work and research projects focused on electricity policy and infrastructure finance. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Abia State University.
